Good news, based on popular request, we now have connectors to cleanly pass signals between a separating wall, such as a vehicle firewall.
CAN + Power bulkhead connector
The CAN + Power bulkhead connector conveniently passes CAN bus + power connections through a bulkhead, allowing the placement of CAN bus devices on the other side. One example is placing AnalogX2 on the other side of a compartment, or passing signals to TireX between the inside and the outside of the vehicle.
To use the bulkhead connector, simply drill a 11mm hole, feed the bulkhead connector through, and torque the locking nut. Then, attach the extension cables to each side for a super clean and rugged installation!
8 channel analog / digital bulkhead connector
Want to pass analog and digital signals between compartments? The 8 channel bulkhead connector lets you do it cleanly and easily with up to 8 analog or 8 digital/GPIO channels.
This is a M12 sized connector and requires a 16mm hole in the bulkhead. Once installed, torque it with the locking nut and attach the necessary extension cables / signal splitters to either side to complete your installation.
Speaking of Extension cables – all of our current extension cables will work with this bulkhead connector. We have 1M and 2M 8 channel extensions to connect RaceCapture to the bulkhead connector, and then on the other side you can install the 8 to 4 channel sensor splitter or an additional extension.

The 8 channel sensor extension extends 8 analog or digital signals. Available in 1 and 2 meter lengths.
