RaceCapture app 2.15.3 released with WiFi bug fixes

We have a small update to the RaceCapture app that as a couple of small but important fixes.

Improved WiFi connectivity to the RaceCapture device

We’ve fixed a problem around the the initial connection attempt for the RaceCapture app when connecting to RaceCapture via WiFi. We found an issue where the connection can take a very long time. This 2.15.3 release fixes this issue, allowing the app to connect quickly and reliably.

This is especially important when connecting the app to devices that only support WiFi, such as the original RaceCapture/Track MK1, as well as when running the video+data live streaming solution, where the streaming computer may connect to the RaceCapture device via WiFi.

Improved app performance and stability

We’ve also switched to a more modern version of our app framework, which promises a slight performance boost and stability improvements.

Available on all platforms. Seriously.

The RaceCapture app runs basically everywhere. If you’re on mobile, it probably auto-updated to the latest version!
